Utah Center for Climate and Weather uses Google AdSense to help support this website. Advertisements are labeled and are separate from our weather information and editorial content. An advertisement does not imply an endorsement by UCCW.

Google and other third-party vendors and advertising networks use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits. Advertising services may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device information, the page visited, and interactions with ads.

You can manage or opt out of Google's personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google’s consent message lets you accept, decline, or manage consent for advertising cookies and Analytics storage. Use the privacy and cookie settings link provided with that message to change or withdraw your choice. Browser settings also let you manage cookies. Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all advertisements.

Readership analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand page readership, visits, reading engagement, and where visitors came from, including search engines and referring websites. Google receives browser and device information and processes your IP address during collection. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits. We do not enable Google advertising signals or personalized advertising through Analytics.

Where Google requires regional consent, Analytics stays off until the consent message indicates permission for Analytics storage. Elsewhere, Analytics may run without a popup after Google confirms that regional consent does not apply. If that status is unavailable, Analytics stays off.

You can disable Analytics in this browser using the controls below. We remember this preference for up to six months and continue to honor earlier Analytics refusals. A Global Privacy Control signal also disables Analytics. Disabling it stops further collection and removes this site's Analytics cookies; it does not delete information already collected. Choosing regional settings again does not override a refusal in Google's consent message.

We remove query strings and fragments from the page addresses and referring addresses supplied to Analytics. We do not track editor pages, contribution or contact forms, internal search queries, or form entries. Measurement depends on Google's consent service, which loads on pages with advertisements; ad-free utility pages are not measured. Consent choices and browser blocking mean Analytics does not count every reader. Embedded-service privacy choices are separate.

The forecast selector stores your selected community in your browser so it can remember your choice. Embedded X weather reports are provided by X and may use cookies or receive information about your browser and visit; see X's privacy policy. Following external links takes you to services governed by their own privacy policies.

The web server records technical request information used to operate and troubleshoot the site. Editor sign-in uses session information to maintain access. If you submit a photograph, video, article, or correction, we receive the information and files you choose to send for review.
