Choosing and using a receiver
A weather-band receiver is needed to receive these broadcasts; an ordinary AM/FM radio without a weather band cannot tune to them. Receiver features differ. NOAA provides receiver information and SAME alert-programming guidance to help you check the equipment and location settings for your area.
